Funding requests
The Office of Interdisciplinary Studies has a modest amount of funding available to support interdisciplinary research, teaching, and community engagement. Faculty can request a maximum of $500, though most awards will be in the $100-$300 range. Projects must be interdisciplinary, meaning that they integrate perspectives, methods, concepts, and/or theories from multiple disciplines. Simply involving faculty from multiple departments does not necessarily make a project interdisciplinary. An individual can conduct an interdisciplinary project, though collaborations are encouraged. Funding requests submitted using this form are considered at any time but are more likely to be funded earlier in the academic year. Faculty are expected to submit a short final report upon completion of the project.
